BRIEF

Create a new luxury resort brand that delivers old-world elegance. Devise a thoughtfully branded experience from booking to check-out, and every touchpoint in between.

PROCESS

When we started the project, there was no hotel (yet). So we took the floorplans and material finishes, and imagined a sprawling Tuscan estate. Grand, but homey. Filled with amenities that are thoughtful, simple, elegant. Where the feel of the paper is just as important as the words printed on it, and every ceiling is hand painted.

The Grand Del Mar opened its doors in 2007 with a fabulous Gatsby-esque party. For the first time, we watched guests interact with the world we had created (wayfinding, in-room, golf, spa, residences, and three F&B outlets), and it was exactly how we envisioned it.
