This project started small; it was a short-run book to thank participants in the BioSCAN community science project. But recipients (and curators) were so impressed, they started lobbying for an exhibition. And then the photos got published in National Geographic (so it really couldn’t be ignored), and so both a physical and an online exhibition based on the book were developed!
